Based on the award-winning book, “Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes,” “A Thousand Cranes” is the true and poignant story of Sadako Sasaki, a young victim of the Hiroshima atomic bomb. Diagnosed with radiation sickness, twelve-year-old Sadako prays for world peace as she folds one-thousand paper cranes.
